10 Worst Ever FIFA Games - Ranked
2. FIFA International Soccer (Game Boy)
Two years on from the original FIFA International Soccer’s release, EA Sports managed to scale down the formula and cram it onto a Game Boy cartridge.
It sounds like quite the development feat, except the end results were uglier than the tackle that ended David Busst’s career. And if that name means nothing to you, don't Google him if you're planning on keeping your breakfast down.
Ropey animation saw the player sprites flicker like an old-school LCD handheld device and the hideous menu screen music made your ears want to vomit.
Those issues may have been overlooked if the game played well, but with only two buttons at their disposal, the developers were forced to tie virtually every command to the A button, while B was used to switch player.
Most of the time you were blindly hammering A, not knowing whether your player was going to pass, shoot, cross, tackle or whip up a batch of margaritas.
EA Sports proved that porting FIFA to humble handhelds was possible with this 1995 release, but whether they should have bothered is another matter entirely.
