10 Worst Games Of 2018 (So Far)

9. Extinction

Extinction Game
Iron Galaxy

Extinction is probably what Shadow of the Colossus would've ended up like if it lacked any scrap of heart, imagination or artistry whatsoever.

This Attack on Titan ripoff sees the player defending their land from gigantic ogre-like creatures with a mix of acrobatics and combat, and as tough to bugger-up as that sounds at a base level, developers Iron Galaxy took a fair stab at doing so.

For starters, this is a desperately boring game to look at and experience, from its generic colour palette and art style to its unwieldy movements mechanics and unsatisfying combat.

Taking down a giant lacks much satisfaction and the game quickly settles into a repetitious rhythm that'll have all but the most forgiving players running for the hills after a quick play-test.
