10. Metal Gear Survive

A Metal Gear game sans-Hideo Kojima was always going to be a tough sell, but one with a major focus on microtransaction-riddled multiplayer and zombies? Ehh.

Metal Gear Survive is the soulless result of Konami pimping out their (admittedly brilliant) Fox Engine for a cynical milking of the cash-cow the company forced Kojima to leave chained up in their barn.

The brilliance of the engine still manages to shine through, but conceptually and creatively, it's a dull misfire that lacks the endearingly eccentric personality of its predecessor and feels wholly un-worthy of the Metal Gear name.

Unsurprisingly, it didn't make a dent critically or commercially, and the online community was all-but-dead a few months later.
