10 Worst Games Of 2018 (So Far)

8. The Inpatient

The Inpatient
Supermassive Games

Supermassive Games' hugely hyped VR successor to Until Dawn: Rush of Blood may take place within the same universe, but it lacks the atmosphere and meticulous craft that made that game such a creepy hoot.

The Inpatient boasts top-notch production values - namely some of the best visuals and sound design on PSVR to date - yet does little interesting with them, settling for a forgettable story with non-starter characters and, worst of all, a depressing lack of scares.

There are very few fail states in this brisk two-hour experience - yes, experience - and it ultimately feels more akin to a mildly tense rollercoaster ride than the bone-rattling anxiety-fest players were clearly hoping for.

Given the AAA price tag Supermassive slapped on it and the pedigree of their prior games, this fell depressingly short of the mark.
