10 Worst Video Games Of 2023 (So Far)

The trailer for Crime Boss: Rockay City made an instant impression thanks to its astounding cast. Because the ensemble includes Michael Madsen, Danny Trejo, Kim Basinger, Michael Rooker, Danny Glover, Vanilla Ice, and Chuck "Counted to Infinity Twice" Norris, it was hard not to get pumped for Ingame Studios' co-op shooter.

But after playing for a few minutes, it's clear Crime Boss has no fresh ideas, instead cannibalising elements from other titles like GTA, Payday, and Saints Row. Even though this dreck is supposedly inspired by Heat, gamers would never draw that conclusion, due to the contrived storyline, meandering action, and forgettable... everything.

The voice performances are so lifeless, it sounds like the actors recorded their lines while hungover, sleep-deprived, and heavily medicated. The primitive controls makes players feel like they're playing a mobile game from ten years ago. Every scene is crammed with such hammy dialogue, it's difficult to tell whether it's intentional or just REALLY badly written.

To add insult to injury, Crime Boss is infested with bugs. From game-breaking crashes to characters getting stuck in objects, these technical issues make the gameplay, at best, a nuisance, and at worse, borderline unplayable.
