11 Terrifying Abandoned Areas In Video Games That Will Give You The Creeps

The Fallout series is absolutely full to the brim of abandoned locations.

Each title in the series has a number of locations that would easily qualify for a place on this list, most of which are the abandoned Vault-Tec vaults, each one a different sociological experiment with different parameters - but Vault 108 was quite possibly the worst of all.

Vault 108 was designated an overseer given extensive control of the Vault - although he was terminally ill, and would die within the first few years of the Vault's closure.

Vault 108 also featured a cloning lab, which the residents used to make multiple clones of a man named Gary. It soon became apparent that each clone was more violent than the last, all of them showing remarkable hostility toward non-clones.

The icing on Vault 108's cake was the generator, set to fail after only 20 years of the Vault's 38 year long isolation, with not enough auxiliary power to maintain the vault's needs.

The result is a tangle of dark corridors, and a host of mutant animals and murderous clones, who apparently can only say variations of the word "Gary" .

Safe to say, most of us couldn't get out of there soon enough.
