4. Piggsy (Manhunt)
Piggsy is just as much a man as a mythic half-demon creature, haunting the various levels that make up the first Manhunt game with the distant revving of his chainsaw accompanying his chalkboard-squeals and hefty frame. Theres a fantastic scene near the storys endgame where you, as James Earl Cash, are attempting to cobble together some sort of weapon from inside a small garage whilst a small group of thugs are talking outside. Cut to a mishmash of pained screams and pig-noises, to which you eventually pluck up the courage (in your own time) to investigate, only to find mutilated corpses and buckets of blood, replete with severed limbs scattered everywhere. Its a brilliant moment, and one where you realise Piggsy isnt just another obstacle in your way in this increasingly macabre world, hes the embodiment of everything your character could become if he totally gave in to his violent side.
