5. Chainsaw Ganado (Resident Evil 4)
Whilst the chainsaw-wielding Ganado received something of a cameo in Resident Evil 5 by way of a burlap-sack wearing enemy chasing you down that games African village setting, most will remember the instant heart-pumping moment they first heard the chainsaw roar into life right beside them in Resi 4. Whilst not receiving an adequate title outside of variations on Chainsaw Man, this original version of the character still did wear a burlap-sack, and showed up in a variety of situations throughout the game, the most intense of which being when four of them show up at once, forcing you to utilise the games then-revolutionary shooting mechanics to take them all on. You didnt succeed first time though, no one did. Instead another gamers memory is watching protagonist Leon Kennedys head get stuck on the rusty blade, before popping off and rolling across the floor accompanied by the vintage Resident Evil Game Over screen.
