11 Video Games You'll Buy No Matter What

1. Star Wars: Battlefront

If there's one thing that can be said for sure about 2015, it's that it's going to be the year of Star Wars. Not only will it mark the debut of a brand new trilogy of films, but also a new, long-awaited instalment in the Battlefront series that's sadly been dormant since 2009. After two fantastic games on consoles (and three on handhelds) the series ran into development woes, so bad in fact that they made shooting a torpedo down an exhaust pipe look like a walk in the park. When developer Free Radical closed its doors in 2009, the fate of Battlefront appeared to be uncertain. There's no uncertainty now, however as EA has acquired rights to develop a new Battlefront game that will release alongside the movie A Force Awakens. Precious few details have been released, but development is being handled by Battlefield developers DICE and the game will use their Frostbite 3 engine. Additionally, the iconic Star Wars locations Hoth and Endor have been confirmed to be in the game. It's been 10 years since the last Battlefront graced consoles and it's a damn shame because they were (and are) some of the best Star Wars games around. DICE is more than capable of filling the void Free Radical left by providing the beautiful, immersive and cinematic Star Wars game that fans have been craving for all these years. What's the game you are looking forward to the most? Are you happy with your PS4 or Xbox One? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

When I'm not playing games, I'm probably either writing about them somewhere or singing stupid songs inspired by them. Or eating pizza.
