11 Weird Video Game Crossovers You Won’t Believe Happened

Sonic The Hedgehog has starred in numerous racing games across the last three decades. From hoverboarding in Sonic Riders to the car-based Team Sonic Racing, he’s had countless races but few games are as fondly remembered as Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed.

Transformed was well-received back in 2012, acting as a wider crossover between Sega’s franchises but it’s PC edition had a few unique additions to its roster who, if listed alone, could fill half of this feature. General Winter from Company of Heroes 2, Team Fortress’ trio of Pyro, Heavy and Spy, even Football Manager gained a grid slot.

Undoubtedly though, the most bizarre one is Yogscast, a Youtube channel best known for its Minecraft videos. In the game you drove as one of its founders, Simon “Honeydew” Lane.

Without context this sounds like a bizarre decision but the DLC was a charity fundraiser and all proceeds went towards SpecialEffect. Just how much was raised is unclear but you have to respect Sega for letting this happen.
