11 Wildest Assassinations During Total War: Three Kingdoms' Historical Setting
5. Niu Fu
Going back to Dong Zhuo's time, his general and son-in-law Niu Fu was one of the men who survived him and helped to avenge the tyrant. During that time, he fought against one of the men who betrayed his father-in-law, but his army became unruly.
Niu Fu joined together with a cohort, Hu Chi'Er, to steal the camp's valuables and abandon the army. They gathered up the money and fled their own camp while the soldiers began to mutiny. After traveling a short while, Hu Chi'Er killed Niu Fu while crossing a river and stole the wealth himself. He then took Niu Fu's head to their enemy in order to get a reward. But when it was explained what he had done, he was executed by Lü Bu for his betrayal.
