10. Dylan McDermott - Joel (The Last Of Us)

I was watching Dylan McDermott's new movie Freezer the other night, and with it not being very good, I began to space out, staring at McDermott's handsomely gruff, beardy face, and it occurred to me: this guy would make an amazing Joel from The Last of Us. I mean, just look at him! With the controversy surrounding Naughty Dog allegedly using Ellen Page's likeness for Ellie without her consent (and we'll get to that later), it wouldn't be surprising if the developer flat-out just used McDermott for the reference: the likeness is pretty uncanny. Even if they didn't, he's not just the spitting image, he's also a fine if rather undervalued actor in his own right who would fit every physical requirement that the role could possibly ask for. He may not be a total household name, but when adapting a video game as treasured as this, does that really matter?
