12 Best DC Superhero Video Games

7. Superman: Rise Of Apokolips

If anyone can claim they'd been wronged by games, it would be Superman. In his extensive attempts at getting a worthy title of his own, the big blue scout has been placed in everything from platformers, to beat em' ups, to poorly envisioned open worlds. No developer has really managed to make the character all that great in a videogame, but that doesn't mean developers haven't come close. Superman: Rise of Apokolips was one of few titles to be released during the golden age of DC animation, and thus carried its art style, story-telling and voice acting into the gaming medium. It captured the look and feel of the Animated Universe wonderfully, despite the occasional technical glitch and spurious controls. The funny thing really is that this is the closest Superman's gotten to videogame glory. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game that captures Superman's flying well, but for every Rise of Apokolips there are about three Man of Steels (the 2002 Xbox release), Superman 64s or Superman Returns' - he really doesn't fare well when it comes to going digital. Hopefully this is set to change, but at this current moment, Rise of Apokolips is the best we've got.
