The Final Fantasy series has seen dozens of epic bosses, but the final one in FFX is like no other. The battle is epic because of its controller smashing difficulty and relentless duration, the first portion seeing the player battle Tidus father Jecht (above) as he is fully possessed by Sin. This battle has two sections; the first isnt too bad but in the second the beasts max health doubles to a ridiculous amount - all the while two floating pagodas constantly heal and charge his special attack. Next the team have to defeat all of master conjurer Yunas Aeons one by one - Aeons being huge otherworldly beasts you'd been training this whole time - as Yu Yevon possesses them respectively. The last section of the battle is with Yu Yevon himself, the personification of evil, an undeserved title as he is pretty weak compare to the enemies you have already faced. After slogging it out with all these guys, the breath of relief you release as the final cut-scene starts is sweetest you'll ever take.
