12 Creepiest Video Game Easter Eggs

6. Arkham City Of Terror

Sometimes it can feel like Batman's parents weren't gunned down by a masked gun man, but by an Easter egg. He certainly spends a lot of time in Rocksteady's unparalleled Arkham games seeking out not only criminals but all the hidden bonus content the developers concealed about the open-world environments, from the Riddler...riddles to that bit in Arkham Asylum where you bust into a secret room and look at all the plans for the sequel. One thing they didn't include in those plans, however, was some of the creepier Easter eggs that could be uncovered in Arkham City. Climb up one of the cranes that overlook the Gotham Docks in the Industrial District and soar down onto the ship immediately below you, then whip out that fancy Cryptographic Sequencer to unlock the door that lets you descend into the belly of the boat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGwClEZ5qAs The password is CITY OF TERROR, which should give you some idea what you're getting into. Climbing down into the ship will shift you into a first-person perspective as you explore an abandoned mess of papers, boxes full of cockroaches and what looks like a shadowy figure at the end of the hallway, backlit by a spooky blue glow. The paper include an invoice for one Dr Crane, better known as The Scarecrow - a former doctor at Arkham Asylum-turned-resident, whose experiments in bringing people's fears to terrifying life proved all too successful. And it looks like he's managed it again as you examine the figure, a prone body wearing clown make up, strapped to a chair, seemingly dead. "Seemingly" being the operative word.
