12 Creepiest Video Game Easter Eggs

7. The Ghost Of Hitman: Contracts Past

The Hitman games aren't really famed for being disturbing. That's assuming you're the usual desensitised gamer who doesn't flinch at the brutal mass murder of innocents in order to achieve your goals. That's fine, right? Mostly the titles are action-stealth-puzzle blends, where you try your best to sneak into an area undetected (by sneaking, picking off guards, wearing disguises etc) and assassinate your target without being caught. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRAx_4bmaj0 The third instalment in the series decided to throw in an enemy who was resistant to your cheese wire charms, however. The "Traditions of the Trade" takes place in a hotel which, though never named, could easily be the Overlook. Picking the lock of an off-limits room will lead you to some spooky sightings, a bloody murder scene covered in police tape, and then you look in the bathroom mirror...Luckily you can't strangle the spirit as per your MO, but he's not as resistant to bullets as popular fiction had lead you to believe.
