Although she is always present in the Super Smash Bros series, that is not enough to keep fans from wanting Samus to get a new game all to herself.
Well known as one of the earliest female protagonists in video gaming history, Samus Aran remains a highly popular character ever since the first Metroid game. A former soldier of the Galactic Federation, Samus became a well renowned bounty hunter who hunts down the Space Pirates responsible for the death of her mother and fights the parasitic organisms called Metroids.
Samus is often portrayed as a melancholic hero of few words, and despite her reputation for defeating some of the most powerful foes in the galaxy, she will always choose to protect the innocent , even if it means putting herself in harms way. Combine this with her self-reliant and strong-willed nature and you have a classic video game character.
Such an iconic hero would have returned sooner, had Metroid Prime 4 not been constantly delayed. While its fine getting to see her beat up the likes of Mario and company, its clear Samus has a big enough of a reputation to warrant a proper comeback.
