8. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

You can't be too mad at Naughty Dog for going back on their claim that Uncharted 3 was going to be the last of Nathan Drake's adventures. Expect spectacular cinematic set-pieces, excellent dialogue fluctuating between the comical and the heavy-hitting, and mind-blowing graphics that lead the way for their console. What we've seen so far of Uncharted 4 shows off a refined version of that flowing, organic gameplay that made previous games in the series feel so cinematic yet decidedly gamey. From hiding behind sandbags being battered by bullets like punch-bags, to uppercutting enemies into food stands to send melons rolling in all directions, to Nathan's stumbling yet graceful movement as he evades fusillades of mercenary gunfire, Uncharted 4 already looks like a technical and storytelling masterclass, and a worthy conclusion to Drake's adventures.
