2. Assassin's Creed Graphics Parity With Xbox One Causes Mass Outrage
The Internet entered meltdown back in October when Assassins Creed Unity's Senior Producer Vincent Pontbriand insinuated that the new game would be running at 900p and 30FPS on both Xbox One and PS4, in a seemingly deliberate attempt by Ubisoft to give the game equal footing on both platforms. It was, of course, widely speculated that Microsoft had put pressure on Ubisoft to make this decision, even while Pontriband promptly retracted his statement, though in effect just dug an even bigger hole for the company. As the controversy intensified, the hashtag #ps4noparity began to trend, and, well, Ubisoft began skating on thinner ice than they ever thought possible. If only gamers knew at the time how poor the final product was, perhaps they wouldn't have put so much effort into attempting to preserve the graphical integrity of its PS4 version.
