If Nintendo wanted to create a film based on one of their franchises that is less reliant on star attractions like Mario, Link, etc., they could do worse than create a film based on their ongoing Wars series. Wars is a bit like the strategy of Command & Conquer meets the quirky violence of Worms. It's one of the company's longest-running and most popular series, although the lack of identifiable protagonists would mean that any adaptation would likely fall flat in terms of an audience. Still - it would be an interesting left-field choice, given the consistent popularity of films about war. Casting Suggestion: Every usual suspect you'd anticipate seeing in a gritty war film. Given that Wars is supposed to have a fun and humorous edge, maybe choose the biggest over-actors available. Keanu Reeves, Matt Dillon, Coolio, Megan Fox... Get someone like Michael Bay to direct and you'll have a glorious mess. Likelihood: 2/10 Desirability: 3/10
