12 Nintendo Franchises That Could Be Adapted Into Movies
7. Kid Icarus
Kid Icarus is one of the less well-known franchises in the Nintendo universe, although it is a favourite with those that follow gaming closely. For a long time, its protagonist Pit was a "classic" character, seemingly condemned to gaming history, until he was revived for 2012's Kid Icarus: Uprising. The fact that Nintendo brought him back, and have been plugging him in various other recent games like the Super Smash Bros. series, suggests that he is a popular figure with the company at the moment. Pit probably doesn't have the star appeal to carry his own film, but it'd be pretty fun to see him show up in a cameo role in a different Nintendo film, for sure. He's a likeable character, and the games' Ancient Greek setting is a far-cry from any of the other examples on this list. Casting Suggestion: Assuming Pit is going to show up in someone else's film, why not have him played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson? If he's going to get his own film, more star appeal will be needed. Bizarrely, he looks weirdly like one of the Jonas brothers. Maybe a Nintendo/Disney hook-up? Likelihood: 3/10 Desirability: 4/10
