12 Video Games That Are Long Overdue Sequels

4. F.E.A.R.

Sunset Overdrive 2
Monolith

You never forget the first time Alma forces herself into your field of vision. Was she there, or was it an hallucination? It doesn't matter, because you're currently hiding behind a pillow and the controller is on the floor.

One of the creepiest horror franchises on modern consoles, F.E.A.R. ran for three games with a few expansions thrown in for good measure. It did a sterling job of melding creepy atmospheric gameplay with the fast paced action necessary in a first person shooter. The franchise may have veered towards action over tension by the third game, but it was still chock full of fun.

Where you go with the story, who knows, but throw a creepy girl in a red dress with black hair into any horror setting and you're halfway to a winner. Though there was an ill advised online game attempted, it's been nine years since F.E.A.R. 3. At this stage, a remake of the first game would still be nice. A remastered collection would be cool. A sequel would be better.
