13 Best Star Wars Video Games Of All Time
7. Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
Despite losing its main star in Kyle Katarn, Jedi Academy didn't radically change up the Jedi Knight franchise's formula between sequels. It did introduce one new feature that set it apart from other Star Wars games however: it finally allowed players to create their own lightsaber.
While it doesn't sound like that huge of a feature now, at the time the ability to customise your own lightsaber was revolutionary. No longer were you confined to the limitations of only having one saber, but players could duel-wield if they wanted to, or better yet, choose to sport Darth Maul's iconic double-edged version of the weapon.
Everything from the design of the hilt to the saber's colour could be customised, and it gave players the freedom to be whatever kind of Jedi master they wanted to be.
The plot was pretty good too, but it was definitely the way the title perfectly captured the spectacle of lightsaber battles that made it such a joy to play.
