13. Resident Evil 2 Remake

The Hype: Held by many to be one of the best, if not the best, entry into the Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil 2 improved upon just about everything the original game served up, with its more intense action, unforgettable gallery of bosses and rich well of characters.

Fans have been asking for a remake of RE2 ever since the acclaimed GameCube remake of the original Resident Evil came out back in 2002, and now, finally, it's happening.

Why It'll Disappoint: For starters, Capcom is being rather vague about exactly how the game will look, which is rather concerning. There's no guarantee it'll follow the REmake formula, and could instead opt for either a Resident Evil 4-esque over-the-shoulder style, or even a first-person approach after the recent success of Resident Evil 7.

It's not terribly likely that the game will just emulate the original title but with better graphics, so it's safe to say that whatever style Capcom has settled on, it's probably going to upset a decent portion of the fanbase.
