10. EA Forever "Listening To Fans"
EA has always been 'listening to their fans', and always uses that exact same phrasing. Alongside 'we've had a lot of feedback' and 'we put the player first'. Of course, EA isn't delusional enough to believe that that is the case, which makes it all the more insulting when they discount their fans with their attempts to save face.
The only thing that EA could have done to save face would have been to walk out on stage and explicitly say that they messed up. But no. They dance around the subject pretending that their a child who made a simple accident.
Because, ultimately, when fans here 'We've been listening to our fans', they immediately think: Huh, that's an interesting and creative way to say that we got several major European countries to legislate our business practices.
