9. The Forza/Every Car Game Problem
The Forza Problem is emblematic that Microsoft understands what they need to do, but just isn't doing it. Forza looks like an amazing game, and it is perhaps the only major exclusive that the company focussed on properly during their conference.
But, most people already understand Forza. They get that it's a car game and they get the new improvements to the mechanics. Spending ten minutes on that whilst letting Halo and Gears fall to the side is a blatant misunderstanding of the core fanbases wants.
It was nice that they took the time to show the game, but it wasn't the game that people wanted them to take their time with. And so watching so much time get thrown away when they announced a new Halo game, is just frustrating.
