The Buzz: Dark Souls fans rejoice! Capybara Games' (Super Time Force) latest effort melds top-down adventure gameplay with the crushing difficulty of a Souls game, as the player controls a tiny warrior who attempts to traverse a randomly-generated remote island.

Death is permanent in Below, and the game has been designed with extreme difficulty in mind, punishing players for reckless behaviour and encouraging caution, so those looking for a gentle ride need not apply.

The game looks absolutely gorgeous aesthetically, and while they've stopped short of revealing exactly how it will work, Capybara are expecting the final product to also include a multiplayer element of some kind.

Having been first revealed at E3 2013, it's safe to say that Below has a lot of hype to live up to, but from what's been shown off so far, it just might pull it off.
