13 Ways To Improve Call Of Duty 2015

7. Hire A Full Cast From Hollywood

Ever since it became a full-blown pop-culture phenomenon in 2007, the Call of Duty series has unsurprisingly roped in an increasing array of Hollywood talent, both in-game (Gary Oldman, Kiefer Sutherland, Sam Worthington, Kevin Spacey and so on) and in their fancy live-action trailers (Jonah Hill, Megan Fox, Taylor Kitsch etc). This reached an all-time high with Kevin Spacey's turn in AW, which wasn't merely voice work but also full-on performance capture, creating one of the most believable characters in the entire CoD franchise. Hopefully the strong reception of Spacey's Jonathan Irons will make Activision realise that this sort of lifelike attention-to-detail is exactly what players want. Treyarch have little choice but to hire an A-list actor for their next game now, but what would really take the campaign to the next level is to not merely be satisfied with one star actor, but cast the entire game like you would a movie. The other key characters should be performed by famous actors, supporting characters should all be played by lower-key character actors gamers will nevertheless recognise, and so on. Sure, it would end up pretty expensive, but given the billions of dollars in revenue these games turn over, Activision can probably stretch their budget a little.
