9. Atlus Bans Streaming Of Persona 5

When Persona 5 hit western stores at the beginning of April, there was considerable outrage at publisher Atlus, who was attempting to prevent players from streaming the game after roughly the first third, as well as not extensively showing off cut-scenes, boss fights and not streaming for longer than 90 minutes at a time.

Atlus' list of requirements read more like a pre-release press embargo rather than instructions to a paying customer base, who responded extremely negatively and forced Atlus to soften their stance a few weeks later.

As it stands, Atlus now allows players to stream up to the final act of the game, though the fact they even wanted to call the shots on this, under the pretense of protecting fans from spoilers no less, was never going to endear them to players at large.
