14 Controversial Video Game Moments That Pissed Off The Fanboys

1. Call Of Duty: Ghosts Didn't Break Records...But It Sure Sounds Like One!

Finally, we come to the last video game moment that pissed off gamers and look who it is....Activision and Infinite Ward singing the same annual song and dance; Call of Duty. Yes, the formerly record breaking war game franchise has now become a broken record; a track that skips constantly. The latest offering last year was COD: Ghosts, a generic shooter that tried to reinvigorate so much of what made COD successful with so little. Ghosts lacked an identity since it didn't do much to stand out from other titles in the franchise. What's worse is that it didn't even improve upon what made its predecessor Black Ops II stand out, though some of those features were indeed present. Sure, we got an expanded Create-a-Class, bigger maps and a new Extinction mode. But those were just subtle improvements for multiplayer and not enough to save its multiplayer. As for single-player, the story was subpar. There were no branching storylines to make things feel dynamic. And we could all swear we've seen that ending before. All in all, Ghosts finally proved the fact that the franchise was reduced to a cut and paste development cycle. And only brand new fans jumping into COD at this moment would remain blind to that fact.
