9. Dead Rising 4

Maybe it's just me, but Microsoft don't seem to be doing a great job of getting their upcoming games in front of people. Not only does it feel like Gears 4 is slinking towards the finish line fairly unnoticed, but Dead Rising 4 is also out at the start of December, but you'd just barely know it aside from doing a specific search.

Regardless, Dead Rising has always been one of the premiere zombie experiences, ever since the original wowed tech-fanatics with its thousands of the undead on screen at once. For this fourth instalment, we're seeing the return of Frank West as the hero, with the signature ability to craft and wield ridiculous weapons front and centre. Most recently that's extended to a fancy EXO suit - one that grants you super-strength to rip enemies clean in half, or squish them with anything from dumpsters to cars.

Say what you like about the fairly one-note appeal, like a good time-tested rock band, Dead Rising knows what it is, what it can offer and how to do it more reliably than anyone else.
