14 Hotly-Anticipated Video Games Still Coming Before Christmas 2016
6. Dishonored 2
Developers Arkane Studios are slowly making a name for themselves as one of the most talented studios around. Not only are they releasing the A.I. experimentation sandbox-style Dishonored 2 in November, but they're revamping 2006's original Prey into an almost spiritual sequel to Bioshock.
Anyway, taking place some years after the first game and letting you continue playing as Corvo or the grown-up Emily Caldwin, your goals are mostly the same: Live the life of a supernatural assassin with a ludicrously-fun set of abilities, and take down enemies in the most inventive ways possible.
I highly recommend the original if you'd like to dip your toes in a little, but new powers for D2 include a 'Shadow Walk' form that ostensibly turns the action into The Darkness as you pick up and tear apart foes before becoming human again. You can produce causal links between enemies too, so slit the throat of one and any they're connected to will die simultaneously.
Such things are all designed to let you get lost in heroes whose movesets are built to treat humanity as their personal plaything, and therein lies the potential for an endless amount of fun.
