Put a gamer in a box and they'll try their damnedest to get out of it - thus it was only a matter of time after Arkham City's release that people would find a way to hop the walls and explore the version of Gotham beyond.

Luckily, Rocksteady caught onto such an inevitability and actually modelled parts of the city itself - albeit it in very low-resolution. You have to exploit a glitch by throwing freeze grenades in quick succession whilst perched on a ledge, but then you can glide above the traffic on the streets, visit the Gotham Bank - and even get all the way over to a miniature version of the original Arkham Asylum.
