14 Most Anticipated Video Game Sequels Of 2017 - Ranked
3. Destiny 2
How to go from laughing stock to beloved cult classic? Have genuinely exquisite gameplay.
Bungie's proficiency with first-person combat was already well-known from Halo, but in Destiny, they really knocked it out of the park. Playing Destiny is damn-near addictive; a perfectly accessible blend of randomly dropped loot, deliciously fun superpowers and of course, the champagne cork-pop feel of landing a succession of headshots.
For the sequel, Bungie are actually including a story, raft of characters, easier access to the group-tackling raid modes and even more weapons.
It might still fall back on asking you to re-run the same missions far too much for any meaningful loot, but if Bungie can get Destiny 2 right, nothing will stop it.
