13. Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom

Ni No Kuni 2 might not only be one of the most disappointing games of 2018, but honestly one of the most crushingly underwhelming releases of the last few years.

Where to begin? The game has clearly been produced on a reined-in budget compared to its predecessor, with a depressing and suspicious lack of cut-scenes and voiced dialogue, an unlikeable protagonist, and a wealth of forced "side content" (namely recruiting villagers for your kingdom) intended solely to pad things out.

It's also extremely easy compared to the first game and largely just lacks the soul, wit and honest emotion that made Wrath of the White Witch such a wonder.
