Now then, onto something that felt positively like magic when we first saw it.

Nintendo are literally shipping out new minigame collections and packs of industrial strength cardboard to combine with all the various sensors inside the Nintendo Switch and its controllers, resulting in everything from pianos to fishing minigames, motorbike handlebars to robotic racing bugs.

Why? Because Nintendo.

It looked positively insane at the reveal, and has only rumbled away as a thoroughly Good Idea since. Labo is set to arrive in two forms: The Variety Kit featuring the aforementioned minigames and a few more, and the Robot Kit, where you literally build a full-size mech backpack and augmented limb covers to punch and stomp your way across a city.

Hands-on reports have confirmed that all this functions as responsively as we all hoped, and, well, if you can learn an actual instrument from a cardboard version of it, or have fun catching digital fish with your fake fishing rod, that really is something special.
