We had both Joseph Gorden Levitt and Elijah Wood up on stage this year, and not in a pandering way. They weren't using their faces to simply push a company's game. They were working with developers on projects and actively engaging in the industry.

Levitt was pushing a way for fans to write, draw and orchestrate assets to be used in Beyond Good and Evil 2, an amazing thing regardless of his involvement. And Elijah Wood has been working on a new VR game.

It is crazy stuff but is one of the biggest strides forward in gaming becoming a mainstream medium. Despite its popularity, gaming has always had that stigma attached to it, with movies and books being paraded around as art whilst gaming was sequestered to being menial nonsense. This, however, is the start of integration between the mediums.
