10. Star Wars Battlefront 2
The universe of Star Wars is so recognisable, and DICE did a ridiculously good job at bringing every area of it to life in Star Wars Battlefront 2.
Every single planet is faithfully recreated to the highest fidelity possible, whether it's the bright opulence of Naboo or the moody, stormy ocean facility on Kamino.
There is a lot going on in Battlefront 2, but no part of the design feels phoned in or copied and pasted. The smaller elements, whether it's the leaves blowing through the streets or a pristinely white plain becoming tainted by red after a difficult fight, stop the game from feeling like a museum piece, but instead a living, breathing, dynamic version of the Star Wars galaxy.
And that's only mentioning the planets themselves, without even going into detail on the grand, epic space battles that capture the magnitude of the solar system, or the way a lightsaber ripples with power and announces the holder's presence in the battle.
The game itself might have been controversial, but no one can deny how well the world of Star Wars was captured in EA's release.
