15 Best Open-World Video Games Of The Decade (So Far)

13. Far Cry 4

Far Cry: Primal just got announced and seems to be splitting fans down the middle - but when you look at how enjoyable (yet repetitious) the joys of part four are, it's probably for the best Ubisoft try something new. Back to 4 for now though, and if you were a fan of Ubi's refined formula in FC 3, you'll be right at home. Earlier access to the wingsuit? Check. A bigger arsenal of guns, explosives and animations that tie it all together effortlessly? Check. A Troy Baker-voiced villain who gives on hell of a hilarious-yet-punchable performance? Check, and throw in the Bengali tigers while you're on. By setting the whole thing in the middle of the Himalayas, it sees you venture everywhere from the dusty trail-filled outposts of ragtag villages, all the way up to donning a ski-mask and sniping guys on the side of a snow-covered mountainside. You'll clear outposts full of guards in a blur of bullets and brutal machete attacks, unleash caged animals on those who imprisoned them - all whilst having the biggest giggle-happy smile on your face at just how incredibly natural it all feels to control. Oh, and you can leap on top of elephants to charge into battle, flipping enemy jeeps as you go. It's wonderful.
