2015 looks to be the year when Gears finally makes a much-needed comeback, being that new developer Black Tusk are taking over where Epic left off, leapfrogging over the misjudged Gears of War: Judgment and instead doing the first numbered followup to the trilogy. Back in 2011 Gears 3 launched to more of the same fanfare the second had generated, upping the visual clout that little bit more, throwing in some fantastically vicious new weapons and delivering a great finale to an already brilliant action movie storyline plenty people got very emotionally involved in. It was essentially more of the same, but when what that amounted to was a remixed Horde mode that saw you tackling numerous waves of enemies - now with random boss fights - additional maps for the brilliant online mode and more of an excuse to just hang around with the same awesome characters as before, Gears 3 is the epitome of everything Epic Games did better than anyone else.
