The Prediction: The Crew 2 ends up by far the most improved video game sequel of next year, scoring an impressive 80+ Metascore.

Why It Will Happen: For one, the ceiling is set incredibly low here, with the original 2014 game scoring just 61 on its main platform (PS4), and from what's been shown off so far, the unexpected sequel does look like a gigantic expansion of its disappointing predecessor.

With no online-only DRM this time, a more wide-open progression system, a greater array of vehicles on land, air and sea (and the ability to instantly switch between them), and sharper visuals, this is shaping up to be the multi-plat answer to the Forza Horizon franchise.

Why It Might Not: It's important to remember that it's still being developed by the original game's developer, Ivory Tower, so to see them release a sequel that leaps 20 Metascore points would be, well, miraculous.
