15 Criminally Underrated PS4 & Xbox One Games You Must Play

While the PS4 launched with some impressive titles that ate up the majority of Sony's marketing budget, it was actually a small scale twin-stick shooter that resonated with early adopters of the new console. Free if you picked up PS Plus, Resogun's explosion of colour and frantic fast-paced combat more or less left every triple A in the dust when it released in 2013.

With its simplistic and minimalist gameplay, everything about the shooter was so finely tuned that it simply provided one of the smoothest, most enjoyable experiences to be found on either next generation consoles.

While third party ports and underwhelming exclusive releases made the bulk of the next gen launch lineup, there wasn't anything that came out during the holiday 2013 period that was more satisfying than the arcade-inspired retro shooting of Resogun.
