15 Criminally Underrated PS4 & Xbox One Games You Must Play
1. Dying Light
Dying Light came out at the right place at the right time. With the lack of marketing and poor previews the game received in the weeks leading up to release, this open world zombie adventure game would have been eaten alive had it released in a more populated window.
But thankfully Techland's incredibly fun first person zombie brawler came out against virtually no competition, and as a result the game was allowed to speak for itself, quickly becoming a popular hit through the word of mouth praise it received.
And the player respect the title quickly earned was entirely justified, because Dying Light is still one of the best games to release so far this year. The unassuming title featured great combat for a first person melee title, and the parkour elements included in the game added a thoroughly enjoyable sense of verticality and movement to the game that set it apart from similar entries in genre, even Techland's own Dead Island.
Throw in a deep levelling up system and the ability to eviscerate zombies and create absolute carnage with uniquely crafted weapons and its easy to see how Dying Light stole the hearts of players everywhere.
