15 Football Manager Wonderkids Who Didn't Live Up To Expectations

8. Ibrahima Bakayoko

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQHAOg9rXQk Another iconic Championship Manager striker, for many, Bakayoko is a cult hero for the franchise. The Ivorian was a goal machine within the game, who would indefinitely bag you a hat-full of goals season after season, regular as clockwork. He was that rare kind of striker who had almost unnaturally good finishing, and we're sure many a CM title challenge will have been driven on by an in-form Bakayoko leading the line. In reality he managed to earn a big money move to England with Everton, in a £4.5 million deal. Undoubtedly Toffees fans who knew of him through CM must have been absolutely ecstatic when the signing was announced. However, this was a feeling they may well have grown to regret far quicker than anticipated. Sadly for all parties the bubble very quickly burst, with Bakayoko only managing to register four league goals before being swiftly shipped back to France. Perhaps the Everton scouting team had been playing a little too much CM the previous season. But honestly, who can blame them?
