5. Zelda II
You get your regular mistranslations from Japanese games, then you get your Nintendo mistranslations. There's something incredibly endearing about them, as embodied by this guy in Zelda II. Perhaps he's just extremely nihilistic or depressive, believing that his existence is utterly insignificant? The real story here goes that the character is called Bagu in Japanese, which translates to bug, which in turn can be interpreted in English as error. So come to think of it, it's more of a misunderstanding than mistranslation, but this entry has come too far for me to abandon it now.
