15 Hilarious Voice Acting Fails In Horror Video Games
2. Heavy Rain
Heavy Rain is the interactive drama developed by David Cage and his company, Quantic Dream. The game has four playable characters whose lives become intertwined when the Origami Killer strikes. While the title is one of the most iconic games from the PlayStation 3, there is one scene that has become a source of memes throughout the years.
In the game's opening prologue, the player takes control of Ethan Mars who is celebrating his son, Jason's tenth birthday. But when the child disappears at the mall, Ethan will stop at nothing to find him.
Players will have to traverse through the area while pressing X to shout Jason's name. The downside here is that Ethan's delivery is wooden as he says 'Jaaaay-son,' in an unconvincing manner. It doesn't help that his 3 variations of 'Jason' are repeated throughout the level even as the scene increases in tension.
The sequence has since become infamous all over the Internet due to Ethan's terrible delivery. Instead of being remembered as the loss of our digital son, it ends up becoming a source of laughter every time we heard the boy's name.
