15 Hilarious Voice Acting Fails In Horror Video Games

3. House Of The Dead: Scarlet Dawn

Now, most of you probably expected The House of the Dead 2 on this list as it is one of the most famous examples of terrible voice acting. But to switch things up, let's take a look at the most recent entry, 2018's House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn.

While titles past the second game actually improved their acting, Scarlet Dawn tries to emulate the crude performances found in the earlier instalments.

This is best seen with our two protagonists, Ryan Taylor and Kate Green. The former is the brother of James Taylor from The House of the Dead 2 and boy, the lack of acting really runs in the family. He comes across as a bratty kid which makes him an ill-fitting AMS Agent.

For Kate, the decision to change her VA is baffling as her debut in The House of the Dead 4 was better delivered. In Scarlet Dawn, however, she sounds bored and fails to raise her voice during intense moments.

The House of the Dead 2's voice acting added to the game's late 90s charm. Scarlet Dawn tries to replicate this but feels out of place due to the modern graphics and overall polished feel.
