15 Hilarious Voice Acting Fails In Horror Video Games

1. Resident Evil - Code: Veronica

The original Resident Evil has been part of numerous bad voice-acting lists with lines like the 'Jill sandwich,' cemented in history. And while subsequent entries try to rectify this, Code: Veronica is the rare RE sequel to return to bad acting, as seen in one of the most obnoxious characters in the franchise.

That honor, or dishonor, goes to Steve Burnside who serves as the male lead for the first half of the game. Claire Redfield first encounters the young man who is an inmate trying to escape Rockfort Island.

Unfortunately for our ears, this Leonardo DiCaprio wannabe tags along for the ride and ends up sounding whiny and petulant.

Steve's failure as a character is best seen during his confrontation with his father. Upon seeing him mutated, he screams lines like 'I can't! Noooo..' like a child losing his candy. He shouts a meme-worthy, 'Father!,' in the most over-the-top way as he guns him down in order to save Claire.

While the scene is supposed to be heart-wrenching due to the stakes involved, Steve's line delivery ruins any emotion this scene was supposed to invoke in the players.
