15 Hilarious Voice Acting Fails In Video Games

6. House Of The Dead 2

Sega's legendary on-rails shooter wasn't initially designed with the home console in mind. Being an arcade game, its sound effects were mostly drowned out by the background clangour of air hockey, those slidey-shelf coin machines, and general arcade chaos. You can imagine people's shock when they switched on House of the Dead 2 on their Dreamcasts and heard what it really sounded like.

The game's protagonist says everything with the wide-eyed inquisitiveness of an idiot, while Goldman speaks in an robotic monotone that seems to break down every few moments as his voice gets caught at the back of his throat - like when he ends the first part of his monologue by saying "to protect the li-yuargh-fe cycle".

Also, I'm pretty sure that what he's saying doesn't actually make any sense at all. So does he want to protect the life cycle from man's sin, or is man's sin the life cycle? Who knows? Who cares...
