15 Hilarious Voice Acting Fails In Video Games

5. Sonic Adventure

When Sonic Adventure first appeared on the Dreamcast, we were all believers for just a moment that the console would dominate the new generation of gaming. It was fast, pretty, and surprisingly playable for a Sonic game (I always found the relentless pace of the 2D outings a bit much). But then the characters started speaking, and all hell broke loose.

Sure, video game audio hadn't yet reached its peak at this point, but the quality is so bad here that you can hear some kind of distorted feedback when they speak, and everyone has one of those 'phone call' lisps that's the result of poor sound recording. It's not just the quality that's the problem, as illustrated by the above barrage of voice clips from Tails.

If you didn't already consider him one of the more irritating characters in gaming, you definitely will after a minute of listening to the above.
